The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
