▼ 21 The Prophets
Al-Anbyaa' 7 of 7
The endeavors of he who believes and does good works shall not go unthanked. We write it down for him. 94 It is imperative that a habitation We have destroyed will not desist (from unbelief) 95 Even when Gog and Magog are let loose and they shall break forth from every elevated place. 96 And the certain promise (of Doom) comes near. Then the eyes of unbelievers will be fixed in horror, (and they will cry:) "Ah, woe betide, we were indeed heedless of this, and were oppressors and unjust." 97 Lo! ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come. 98 Had these indeed been gods they would not have gone there. But (as it is), all of you shall ever abide in it." 99 There they shall groan with anguish and the din and noise in Hell will not let them hear anything. 100 But those for whom a good reward had been fore-ordained by Us, will be far removed from it, 101 They will not even hear the slightest sound from it while enjoying the best that they can wish for in their everlasting life. 102 The greatest terror shall not grieve them, and the angels will receive them: 'This is the Day you have been promised' 103 On the day when We shall roll up heaven as a scroll is rolled for the writings; as We originated the first creation, so We shall bring it back again -- a promise binding on Us; so We shall do. 104 Surely We wrote in the Psalms, after the exhortation, that the earth shall be inherited by My righteous servants. 105 Indeed, in this [Qur'an] is notification for a worshipping people. 106 We have not sent you (Prophet Muhammad) except as a mercy to all the worlds. 107 Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" 108 If they turn away, say, "I have warned you all alike, though I do not know whether [the scourge] which you are promised is near at hand or far off. 109 God surely knows what you say openly and also knows what you conceal. 110 I do not know (why God has commanded me to warn you of the torment). Perhaps it is a trial for you and a respite for an appointed time". 111 He saith: My Lord! Judge Thou with truth. Our Lord is the Beneficent, Whose help is to be implored against that which ye ascribe (unto Him). 112
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
