Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). 10 But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. 11 When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring. 12 and when they are flung, linked [all] together, into a tight space within, they will pray for extinction there and then! 13 'Do not call out today for one destruction; call out for many destructions' 14 Ask them "Is this (Fire) better or the everlasting Garden which has been promised to the God-fearing righteous people?" which will be the recompense of their good deeds and the final destination of their journey 15 "For them there will be therein all that they wish for: they will dwell (there) for aye: A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord." 16 And on the Day whereon He will gather them and that which they worship beside Allah and will say: are ye the ones who sent astray these My bondmen; or strayed they themselves from the way? 17 They will answer, "Glory be to Thee! We dared not take any guardian besides Thee: (they were misled because) Thou didst give them and their forefathers all the good things of life till they forgot the Admonition, and incurred the punishment. " 18 “So the deities have belied what you state – so now you can neither avert the punishment nor help yourself; and whoever among you is unjust, We shall make him taste a terrible punishment.” 19 And We have not sent before you any apostles but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing. 20
