3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
