Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
