The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
