Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
