The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
