And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
