Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. Do they still not understand? 68 We have not taught (Muhammad) to versify, nor is it worthy of him. This is nothing but a reminder and illuminating discourse, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners, 71 We have subjected these to them, so that some may be used for riding and some for food, 72 And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful? 73 And yet they have taken gods, other than Allah, so that they might be helped! 74 They will not be able to help them and will be brought (to Us) as their levied troops. 75 Muhammad, let not their words annoy you. We certainly know whatever they conceal or reveal. 76 Does not man see that We created him from a drop. Yet there he is, flagrantly contentious, 77 And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away? 78 Say, "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life again: He has knowledge of every type of creation: 79 Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it. 80 Is He who created the heavens and earth not able to create others like these people? Of course He is! He is indeed the Supreme Creator, the All Knowing: 81 when He decrees a thing, He need only say, "Be!" and it is. 82 So Glorified is He and Exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things, and to Him you shall be returned. 83
