The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in columns outstretched. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
