At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 So set forth, thou with thy family, in a watch of the night, and follow after the backs of them, and let not any one of you turn round; and depart unto the place you are commanded.' 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 So we took vengeance on them; and lo! they both are on a high-road plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
