Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
