The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
