Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, 43 Food of the sinner. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 'Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble. 49 Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 Amidst gardens and springs. 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 Even so; and We shall espouse them to wide-eyed houris, 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 a bounty from thy Lord; that is the mighty triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad SAW); Verily, they (too) are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
