Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
