۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 This happened with them; (but on the other hand), We enabled the Children of Israel to inherit those bounties. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
