Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
