Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Nay, but they do not believe. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
