Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
