Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
