The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
