Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
