The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
