The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
