The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
