Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. 2 Indeed there are signs for believers in the heavens and the earth. 3 and in your own creation; and in the animals which He spreads out over the earth too there are Signs for those endowed with sure faith; 4 As there are signs in the alternation of night and day, and in rain that God sends with which He revives the earth once dead, as there are in the changing of the winds, for people who can understand. 5 These are God's revelations, which We recite to you in all truth. But if they deny God and His revelations, in what message will they believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 Who hears the verses of Allah which are recited to him, then remains stubborn, proud, as if he did not hear them; therefore give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 Whenever he comes to know anything of Our Signs, he makes them an object of jest. For such there awaits a humiliating chastisement. 9 Hell is behind them. Their worldly earnings shall not avail them, nor those whom they took as protectors instead of Allah. An awesome chastisement lies in store for them. 10 This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom. 11
