A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 And a large group from the latter. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 which will neither be cool nor soothing. 44 They had been affluent before, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 shall be gathered together to the appointed time on a known Day' 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 You shall drink it as the thirsty camels drink." 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Judgement. 56 We have created you, so why do you not believe? 57 Have you considered the seed you spill? 58 Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Aye! we are deprived! 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have you thought about the fire that you kindle. 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
