Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
