Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
