The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
