Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
