And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
