Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
