He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him you give attention. 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and who has fear of God, 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Noble and pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
