Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
