Al-Qalam 2 of 2
For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 Shall We equate the Muslims to the guilty? 35 What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge? 36 Or have ye a book through which ye learn- 37 that (in the Hereafter) you shall have all that you choose for yourselves? 38 Or have you oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection? Surely you shall have whatever you judge! 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they any partners? Let them bring their partners then, if what they say is true. 41 (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, 42 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. 43 So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know. 44 And I bear with them; verily My contrivance is sure. 45 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 Be patient thou, then, with thy Lord's judgment, and be thou not like him of the fish, when he cried out while he was in anguish. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good. 50 And indeed the disbelievers seem as if they would topple you with their evil gaze when they hear the Qur’an, and they say, “He is indeed insane.” 51 While it is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
