Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
