And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Shall We make those who believe and work righteous works like unto the corrupters in the earth; or shall We make the God-fearing like unto the wicked! 28 (Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 Recall what time there were presented unto him, at eventide, coursers swift-footed. 31 Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said): 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Certainly We tried Solomon, and We cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 And the shaitans, every builder and diver, 37 As also others bound together in fetters. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come,] and the most beauteous of all goals! 40
