The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And raiding at dawn 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
