We sent Noah to his people, and he said: "My people! Serve Allah; you have no deity other than He. Do you have no fear?" 23 The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old." 24 He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time." 25 Submitted Nooh, “My Lord! Help me as they deny me.” 26 So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned. 27 And when thou art on board the ship, thou and whoso is with thee, then say: Praise be to Allah Who hath saved us from the wrongdoing folk! 28 Say, "Lord, grant us a blessed landing from the Ark; You are the One who provides the safest landing". 29 In this story there is enough evidence (of the Truth); thus do We try (mankind) 30 Then, after them, We created another generation. 31 Then We sent to them an apostle from among them (who said): "Worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed and fear God?" 32
