We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
