And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
