Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. 49 Would that you could have seen the angels taking the souls of the unbelievers away from their bodies and smiting their faces and their backs saying, "Suffer the burning torment. 50 That is for what your hands have forwarded, Allah is not unjust to His worshipers' 51 The same thing happened to the people of Pharaoh and those who lived before them. They rejected the revelations of God and, because of their sins, His retribution struck them. God is All-powerful and stern in His retribution. 52 God would never withdraw a favour that He had conferred upon a people unless they change what is in their hearts. God is all hearing and all-knowing. 53 (Their way is) as the way of Pharaoh's folk and those before them; they denied the revelations of their Lord, so We destroyed them in their sins. And We drowned the folk of Pharaoh. All were evil-doers. 54 Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are the people who disbelieve and do not accept faith. 55 As for those with whom you have made a treaty and who abrogate it every time, and do not fear God, 56 If ye gain the mastery over them in war, disperse, with them, those who follow them, that they may remember. 57 If you are afraid of the treachery of some of your allies, you may disregard your treaty with them. God does not love the treacherous ones. 58
