۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 His is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and obedience to Him inevitably pervades the whole universe. Will you, then, hold in awe any other than Allah? 52 Whatever blessing you have is from God, and to Him you turn for help when distress befalls you, 53 Yet when He has delivered you from affliction, some of you ascribe companions to your Lord 54 So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know. 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 They ascribe daughters to God, God is too Exalted to have daughters, but they can have whatever they want. 57 And when one among of them receives the glad tidings of a daughter, his face turns black for the day, and he remains seething. 58 They try to hide themselves from the people because of the disgrace of such news. Will they keep their new born despite the disgrace or bury it alive? How sinful is their Judgment! 59 The attribute of evil applies to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while to God applies the highest attribute, for He is Mighty, the Wise. 60
