The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
