۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 There will be no good tidings for the guilty on the day they see the angels; and they will cry out, "Keep away, keep away!" 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 The dwellers of Paradise (i.e. those who deserved it through their Faith and righteousness) will, on that Day, have the best abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. 24 A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 Upon the day the evildoer shall bite his hands, saying, 'Would that I had taken a way along with the Messenger! 27 Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! 28 He verily led me astray from the Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man's deserter in the hour of need. 29 And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord – indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 Now they who are bent on denying the truth are wont to ask. "Why has not the Qur'an been bestowed on him from on high in one single revelation?" [it has been revealed] in this manner so that We might strengthen thy heart thereby - for We have so arranged its component parts that they form one consistent whole 32 We will support you with the Truth and the best interpretation whenever the infidels argue against you. 33 Those who will be driven headlong into hell will have a terrible dwelling; they have certainly gone astray. 34
