The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
