'Aad denied the messengers 123 Their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear God? 124 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves? 128 "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants! 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 "Yea, fear Him Who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know. 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 and gardens, and springs -- 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said, "Whether you preach to us or not, 136 This is naught but a custom of the ancients; 137 and we shall not be punished." 138 And they belied him; so We destroyed them. Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 And verily thy Lord? He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 140
