3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
