3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
